It's a Thinking Boise Book Drive!

WHY?

We are all about education.

WHY ELSE?

We like to learn, we like to be on top of our game, and most of all, we like to support learning and growth in our community. As you can see from our "Giving" tab, we donate money to an Idaho School every single time we help someone buy or sell a house. So we asked ourselves, "what else could we do for our schools?" Our answer is to have a book drive to expand the libraries and classroom bookshelves of the neediest of the Boise Schools.

We think this will be an event we hold more than once, so this time we're focusing on Boise. The Boise School District folks tell us that book donations are especially needed at Whittier Elementary, Hawthorne Elementary, Fairmont Jr. High, and Borah High School. That's where your books will be going.

HOW?

Gather up any extra books you have taking up space. Used or new, we'll take them all. Then bring them by the Downtown Library from 3-6pm on Friday, March 3. We'll be on the 3rd floor (follow the signs) taking any books you'd like to donate to the schools. We'll help the district sort them and get them to the schools who need them the most.

We did have someone ask if we'll take cash donations. But of course. We don't expect them, but if you feel like you'd like to donate money instead of books, we'll make sure that books are purchased and donated to the schools.

We hear the schools would particularly love any Spanish language, Kindergarten through 2nd-grade level books and high school-level science-fiction books.

WHERE?

At the Library!, located at 715 S. Capitol Blvd, 83702. We will be on the 3rd floor (in the Marion Bingham room) where it's dry and warm, happily welcoming you and your books.

WHEN?

3-6 pm on Friday, March 3, 2017

Can't make it? Give us a call and we'll figure out a way to get your books and get them to the schools.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

A little less clutter. A little good feeling. Hot drinks and Guru doughnuts! (Oh yeah, you didn't think we'd forget food, did you?)
